New Works - October 2009
I have been working on several new watercolor distortions lately. I am interesting in the heightened emotional intensity caused by the fish eye angles which distorts the bodies of the figures in the images.

Truth & Transparency

I was going through the archives all of my art and decided to put up a group of pieces on the Behance Network that I completed between 2003-05 which were exhibited in a show called, "The Amazing Cosmic Awarenez of Dikkie Digweaver". The series was an abrasive lashing out about my frustrations for truth and transparency related to sex, politics and identity.

You can see some of these pieces in my FLICKR account also. Click here to go there.

The Trinity & The Chief
In 2007, poet Sandy Pool and I completed a collaboration named "Barren Lands" that was published recently in the Canadian Literary publication, dANDdelion Magazine. As an exercise in visual poetry, I composed images to narrate Sandy's poetry with a collage of old etchings. We have recently completed a similar collaboration named, "Songs for the Pocket Anatomist".
Since moving to New York I have finished a number of watercolor paintings on paper which are an experiment in the ability of the dry finish of watercolor in creating the glossy liquidity required to create animated characters.
Below you will see two of my latest pieces and you can see more in Flickr photostream here.
